Happy 2nd Birthday sweet Luke!!

2 year stats:
Weight: 28lbs 50th%
Height:  34in 70th%

We love you so much sweet Luke!!! I can't believe you are already 2!! You make us smile everyday!  I love your passion for trucks, firetrucks, busses, choo-choos, jeeps, planes and boats!  You get more fun each and everyday!  Your vocabulary grows by the minute and I love hearing the excitement come out of everything you say.

Things you love at 2:
-Obviously trucks and cars of all kids
-Food (bananas top this list but cinnamon toast is a close second).  It's amazing how no matter what you eat it ends up all over you and everything else.  You eat with passion :)
-Your brother...aka baby - you love him but you are not a fan of him not being mobile!   He wants to join in on the fun so bad :). We have several videos of you moving him out of the way saying "no baby no".
-Mom and dad...have to enjoy every minute of this one.  It makes me sad thinking of the day you will think mom and dad aren't cool anymore.
-Water...you can play in it for hours!!
-Bubbles - you love bubbles!  One of the great toys that never gets old!
-Throwing things in the trash...I have found all the items of my purse, remote controls, toys, clothes and many more things I'm sure I missed!
-Flushing things down the toilet.  We have had a lot of plumbing issues and it wasn't until I saw you flush an entire banana down that I realized what could be causing this :).
-You are very polite and say please and thank you...you even told it to the nurse after your shots.
-You still really don't enjoy getting dressed, getting your diaper changed, and you still hate bounce houses!

We love you more than words can say and can't wait for many more years of adventure!  Happy Birthday!

Lately...

We have had a crazy, busy fun month!  Here are some pic from Alex and Chris wedding!  Such a fun weekend and such a beautiful bride!!!

Always so fun getting everyone together!! We need to make this an annual thing :).

Sweet kids!  Luke is really into the flowers...he "helped" me plant all of them and helps me water them everyday!

Sweet Taylor's recital.  She looked so cute and did such a great job!

Getting so big.  Going by too fast!

Loved this picture from when I was out of town .  Poor Carson was ready for me to be back!  6 days felt like an eternity!!!

More pics from Luke and Taylor's bday party coming soon!

Spring is here...finally!

I'm not a huge fan of winter...I don't really like boots or flats or any winter related clothes.  I could...and pretty much do wear flip flops year round :).  Plus, Luke loves being outside and tends to getting a little antsy when he is stuck indoors!  We try to take advantage of the beautiful weather before it quickly turns to over 100 degrees.  Here are a few pics of the boys!!

6 months old

Stats:
Weight:  15lbs - 8%
Length:  25 3/4in - 5%
Head:  41 1/2in - 4%

Sweet Carson turned 6 months old on the 4th.  I can't believe it's going by so fast but I'm loving every single day with these boys!  Carson is rolling all over the place but not crawling yet!  I have a feeling he will just follow sweet Luke around everywhere he goes when he does.  He has been such a sweet, easy baby.  He has the sweetest smile that just melts your heart :).  He loves eating and so far has eaten everything we give him.  He's a chatty little guy and will smile at anyone that looks his way.

Luke is great with him!  He always says hi to him and blows him kisses before bed....it's really sweet!  Luke is still our early rising, golf, truck, bus loving kid that eats more than what seems humanly possible!  He is really starting to talk more and more everyday which is so fun!  His favorite words are "bus, truck, mine, no, mama, dada, nana, papa, more, and hiiiii".  He is also really into hugging people which is pretty great.  He gave the TSA officer at the airport a hug.....she didn't really know what to think about it :).

We also got to go to Amarillo for the weekend for Brittany and Eric's gender reveal party!  We are so excited to meet their sweet baby BOY soon!!!!!!  It will be so fun to have another cousin so close in age.

Here are some pictures of our sweet boys!!

My loves!

February has been great so far with all the fun celebrations.  We had Valentine's Day and Brent and Hallie's birthday.  Soon we leave for Napa with some great friends! I have never been a huge Valentine's Day person but I do love flowers so it's always nice to get those :).  Plus Natty gave B some tips on a little gift....it was such a fun, unexpected surprise!  Our Valentine's Day is much different now with kids....it was a chaotic night of a little stomach bug and burnt chicken....which ultimately ended in ordering a pizza and opening a nice bottle of wine.  We were all in bed by 830.  Which these days is a pretty perfect night!  :)

The next night we had a sitter and went to a great little steak and seafood restaurant called Mignons in Plano.  It was a wonderful night celebrating Brent's birthday!

Here are some pictures of the kiddos!

4 months old!!

Our sweet, little Carson is 4 months old.  I honestly can't believe how fast time flies by!  I think it has gone even faster this time because Luke keeps us so busy!  Carson has literally been the sweetest, easiest baby! Here are his stats and what he is up to.

Weight 13lbs 11oz - 15th %
I can't remember length and head but those were both around 15th % too.

-You have just recently rolled over from stomach to back.
-You are sleeping through the night (ahhhhh thank goodness) it is amazing how precious sleep is these days!
-You sleep WAY later than sweet Luke....he has about two hours on you every morning.
-You will smile at anyone that looks at you and it lights up a room
-You love to be held and talked to
-You get jealous if we give Luke more attention than you.  Your bottom lip will come out and get us every time.
-You are starting to laugh...a baby laughing is one of the greatest sounds in the world!!
-You eat about five 6-8oz bottles a day.  We are going to start rice cereal this week.

We just love these sweet boys so much and can't wait to watch them grow up together!

Christmas 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas celebrating with the boys!!  We did have the curse of the Christmas sickness for the second year in a row and couldn't travel to Amarillo :(.  It absolutely breaks our heart when this happens!  We were so sad we couldn't go but knew it was the best decision for Carson.  Poor guy was really sick with RSV.  He had 102 fever for days and ultimately had to get breathing treatments.  We are so glad he is finally feeling better.  It's so hard to see your little ones sick!  We are looking forward to celebrating with the Bullard's this weekend and getting to Amarillo as soon as they get settled in their new house!

Here are a few pictures of our sweet boys enjoying the holidays!

We went to the most beatiful light display in Dallas.  Every single tree was in a different color!  So beautiful and Luke LOVED it!

We took the boys to see the Trains at Northpark and Luke loved it.  He was very serious about them at first :).  Carson wasn't really into it....he was sacked out the entire time!

Christmas morning!  Luke still doesn't really get the Santa thing but he sure loved waking up to fun new toys.  He was able to spend the morning with some of his cousins!

Instead of our typical gift exchange we did a wine tasting competition with a cab under $30 and winner got 1st pick of the prize which was $200 worth of wine.  Our wine won !!  It was so fun and great to find some good new wines.  We also did a fun new tradition on NY that I saw on pinterest.  Throughout the year we put memories in a jar and we opened it up on NYE.  It was so fun to look back at all our blessings of 2013.  What an incredible year!

My mom always gets the kids matching PJ's for Christmas.  This was the best picture we could get of all the kids.  Carson looks like he's passed out here but he was just resting his head :).
