Halloween!

We had a great time celebrating Halloween with the boys!  We had lots of festivities so by the time the actual day came around we were a little worn out.  We made chili and just went to a few houses in the neighborhood.  It was a perfect night!

Here are some pictures!

Fall so far!

I love, love this time of year!!  Cooler weather, football, Halloween, Thanksgiving...the list goes on and on.  We have so much fun enjoying the cooler weather with the boys!  We have already been to the Arboretum a few times.  Their pumpkin display is unlike anything I've ever seen.  So pretty!

The boys are growing and getting more fun everyday!  Carson has had a busy few months....he went from literally not eating anything to eating EVERYTHING in sight.  Holy moly we are going to keep Costco in business.  These boys can throw down some serious food!  It's unreal!  Everything goes in Carson's mouth....dirt, leaves, acorns, shoes, Luke's food, our food, random food on the floor, toys, cords...oh how he loves cords.  He's into pretty much everything!  He loves to make as much noise as possible and take all of Luke's toys! :)  He is officially walking and taking tons of steps in a row but will crawl a lot because he can get there faster.  Such a busy, fun boy!!  Just love him more everyday!

Luke has become my little cuddler...I absolutely love this.  He gives the best hugs ever!!!  He did so great in his toddler bed in the beginning but he's taken a BIG step back....he's gets out of bed about 15 times a night....give or take a few.  He will just open our door and stand over our bed.  Kinda creepy, yet sweet at the same time :).  He still wakes up anywhere from 445-530....we have officially given up on the fact that this is just a stage.  He is just our super early riser :).  He's at the age where he gets scared at night.  Storms pretty much guarantee him sleeping on a palet on our floor.  Love these boys so much!

Lately...

I feel like the boys say and do really fun, sweet things that I want to remember down the road.  Here are a few I've noticed lately :)

Luke:
-Every morning when you wake up we ask if you had sweet dreams you say "yes...trucks, bus, dump truck, fire truck, hose.  Almost word for word each morning.  I love your passion for this :)
-You know when you do something you shouldn't and you tilt your head, flash your little dimples and say "hi mama" in the sweetest voice with this smile that makes me forget just about every time.
-When I ask how much you love me or I love you, you open your arms as wide as you can and say "this much"....absolutely melts my heart.
-You give the sweetest hugs and kisses...to just about anyone.
-You still have extreme fascination with how things work!  Mostly wheels but you will study and look at everything...drawers, lids, how a door opens and closes, how the fridge works....I love your intense curiosity on everything!
-We recently moved you to a toddler bed and you LOVE it.  The transistion has gone WAY better than we could have ever imagined!  Hopefully it stays like this!

Carson
-You love being around people and you really don't like feeling left out.  You get really upset if we walk out of the room.
-When you get excited you will shake your legs move you body all around!
-You have such a sweet smile and the best laugh!!
-When we walk in or out of a room you do this sweet wave with your hand.
-You give sweet hugs and wide, open mouth kisses!
-You are such a sweet, happy baby!  I can't believe you will be one soon.

I love seeing what each new days brings with these boys!

June!

June was an absolutely crazy month!  So crazy that I can't believe it is already over.  I want to remember how chaotic life can be sometimes...it allows me to better appreciate times it when it's slow.  My parents took the boys for a few hours the other night so Brent and I could grab a much needed dinner and it was the greatest few hours.  It's so nice to have an adult dinner every now and then.  I think my poor parents were ready to leave the boys on our porch with the few hours they had with them :).

In just the past month we have had major plumbing issues due to a slab leak, the nightmare of dealing with insurance to try to help with the cost, our AC going out twice, our washing maching leaking which buckled the floors and put a hole in the wall, the dryer went out, electrical issues in the bathroom, Luke got a terrible staph infection which included a trip to the ER, lots of pain, and a ridiculous amount of antibiotics and ointments.  Carson got two double ear infections which lead to getting tubes sooner than we had planned.  While these are all minor and very manageable  things it would be nice if they were spread out a little:).

Here's to a slow, boring July!!

Here are some pics of the boys!!

C had his 1st haircut and liked it way more than Luke!!  Fun cousin time!!
Sweet boys are really starting to play together which is so sweet!  C got his first shiner!  Little guy got in a fight with a toy and the toy won! They are pretty obsessed with watching Brent mow.  They watch every single move...it's pretty cute and a nice 45 minute break for me.
Enjoying a much needed girls lunch at The Porch! Found this little splash park by our house...Luke had a blast!  C before getting tubes...he was such a trooper!  Such an easy and quick procedure!

Carson is 9 months!

Here are Carson's 9 month stats:

Weight:  17.3lbs - 11%
Height:  27.48" - 16%

What a fun 9 months we have had with you!  Here is what you are up to!

-You are such a happy, excited, fun loving boy!
-You want to be in the mix of EVERYTHING!!!
-You touch, feel, grab, and pull on anything you can reach.
-You LOVE Luke....I think he's still deciding what to think about you :).  He gets really upset when you take his toys and you think it's hilarious! It's pretty funny to watch you guys interact.  He still calls you baby, not Carson.
-You are all over the place...you can crawl but get there faster from scooting so you do that.
-You get very upset if you are left out of whatever is going on.
-You are not into table food at all...we are still working on this but you love jar good.
-You do not like getting your diaper changed...we basically have to pin you down to change you.
-You sleep through the night but like to wake up early like your brother!

We love you more than words can express!

Happy 2nd Birthday sweet Luke!!

2 year stats:
Weight: 28lbs 50th%
Height:  34in 70th%

We love you so much sweet Luke!!! I can't believe you are already 2!! You make us smile everyday!  I love your passion for trucks, firetrucks, busses, choo-choos, jeeps, planes and boats!  You get more fun each and everyday!  Your vocabulary grows by the minute and I love hearing the excitement come out of everything you say.

Things you love at 2:
-Obviously trucks and cars of all kids
-Food (bananas top this list but cinnamon toast is a close second).  It's amazing how no matter what you eat it ends up all over you and everything else.  You eat with passion :)
-Your brother...aka baby - you love him but you are not a fan of him not being mobile!   He wants to join in on the fun so bad :). We have several videos of you moving him out of the way saying "no baby no".
-Mom and dad...have to enjoy every minute of this one.  It makes me sad thinking of the day you will think mom and dad aren't cool anymore.
-Water...you can play in it for hours!!
-Bubbles - you love bubbles!  One of the great toys that never gets old!
-Throwing things in the trash...I have found all the items of my purse, remote controls, toys, clothes and many more things I'm sure I missed!
-Flushing things down the toilet.  We have had a lot of plumbing issues and it wasn't until I saw you flush an entire banana down that I realized what could be causing this :).
-You are very polite and say please and thank you...you even told it to the nurse after your shots.
-You still really don't enjoy getting dressed, getting your diaper changed, and you still hate bounce houses!

We love you more than words can say and can't wait for many more years of adventure!  Happy Birthday!
