Christmas

Luke's 1st Christmas was not exactly how we imagined it but we ended up having a great time.  He got really sick so we spent the majority of Christmas Eve at the doctor...which was a total nightmare. Unfortunately, they told us it would not be a good idea to go to Amarillo because of all the fluid in his ears and it was freezing there!  We were supposed to fly out on Christmas day.  We were both so upset we couldn't go and definitely had two long weeks of staying indoors!!  We were all very antsy to get out amongst the living!!! 

This was definitely the worst the poor guy had ever felt and it is never fun to see your baby sick.  Luckily he didn't really know he was missing out on Christmas but we are definitely hoping this year he will be feeling great!  Here are a few pictures from the holidays.

We finally got to celebrate with the Bullard family when they were all in Oklahoma for a volleyball tournament.  It was so great to see everyone and celebrate with them!  Luke did a great job in the car and had a blast with everyone!  We can't wait to see them all again soon!

Adult vacation

We were very lucky to get a wonderful adult beach vacation with some good friends! We absolutely LOVE to travel and that definitely gets more difficult with a little one but we feel it's important to find time to get away every now and then.  We are so lucky to have wonderful grandparents that were willing to help out so we could get away.  My parents kept Luke a few nights and then the Bullard's came in.

We had such a wonderful time in Puerto Vallerta and the resort was absolutely beautiful!! If you are looking for a great place to go I would highly recommend Secrets Vallerta Bay Resort http://www.secretsresorts.com/vallartabay/index.asp.  I know the name "Secrets" makes it seem like it could be one of those swingers resorts but trust me it is not.  Although, it is adult-only and all-inclusive which are a must for me.  We have been to a couple of the Secrets resorts and this was by far our favorite!!  The staff was amazing and the food was excellent.  Here are a few pics of our vacation.

This was our favorite place to go in the resort...It was a terrace that over looked the whole resort and you could hear the waves crash.  So relaxing!

On the move

Luke officially started crawling right around 6 months. It is amazing how that milestone completely changes your life! Luckily he is still in the somewhat slow, still getting the hang of it phase, but he is still all over the place!

He also got his 1st two teeth the same day. We are hoping this explains the recent desire to be up ALL night long!! The night after they broke through he slept much better! It's amazing how you always find something to blame it on when they don't sleep. He has been "teething" or going through a "growth spurt" since the day was born. I think it just makes you feel better when there is a reason. Here are some pics of sweet Luke!

This was his way of telling me he was over dinner....poor guy!  I went to dinner with Jen and it was so incredibly hot in there that we had to strip him down to his diaper!  We left shortly after this :).

A night out on the town.  We celebrated Trey's birthday with a great dinner then out for a few drinks.  So nice to get out every now and then.

6 months!

Our little man is 6 months old!  It is so hard to believe that he is already 6 months old!  He has been so much fun and has such a great personality.  He is ALL boy!!  I have a feeling once he starts moving and talking....he may never stop :). 

He weighed 17.1 lbs and was 26in long....right in the 50% for both.

Second school pic with the faded background just like when I was in grade school.  We decided to make a little binder of all his school pics and give it to him when he graduates so he can look back at all his years.  Thought it would be a fun thing for him when he is older :).

Napa

We just got back from an amazing few days in Napa with Jen and Dk.  We took them as a thank you for remodeling our home.  We had a great time on our trip!  It is definitely one of my all time favorite places to go!! 

My parents were so incredibly nice to watch all 3 kiddos!  They called Aunt Linda in to help!  I think they were exhausted by Saturday!  ALL the kids woke up in the 5am hour every morning because of daylight savings!  Thank you again to my parents and Linda for all your help!!  Here are pics of their weekend.
